Malaysian Youth dot com search

Me and Paul revealed that we qualified for the Malaysian Youth dot com search. While we recorded TGS #12, it was just 250 pages that qualified. After a day, it went up to 333 participant who qualified.

On the other hand, It's New Year's eve, also Happy New Year.

I am so ashamed of myself! I'm of Hokkien decent. Such a bad thing to say, but I'll put it out there anyway.

Been able to speak a little bit of Hokkien, been able to understand a little as well, but after listening to PGHK, I think I'll be able to pick it up from scratch.

John Ong, thank you for a podcast in a very native Chinese language and dialect. I think I'll start subscribing to it. On the other note, there should be something coming up for me in the near future for me and my Alma Mater (St. Michael's Institution Ipoh). I'm still trying to figure it out with a contact in my school and trying to get a board together for major updates monthly. As more updates, I'll try to get some of the La Salle Centre residents to speak on behalf of the school as well.

What a confession. And currently, I've got my hands on C&C3: Tiberium Wars. On a ATi Redeon 9550, not good. But it's still fun.

Penang Hokkien Podcast on GWTV!

So GWTV would like to introduce our newest addition to the GeeksWeekly family; Penang Hokkien Podcast! John Ong is well known for establishing the first Malaysian podcast a few years ago and we welcome PGHK with open arms to the GWTV portal. GWTV will now be updated with new episodes of PGHK. So i got a call from Fariza of YouthSearch and she confirmed that we've been shortlisted for the Malaysia Dotcom Youth Search competition. The code was sent to us and Andrew diligently put up the banner in the top right corner of the site. So all you guys need to do now is to simply go ahead and click on the banner to vote for GWTV. We're on youthsearch!

Yep our big break has finally arrived in the form of the Malaysian Dotcom Youth Search. GeeksWeeklyTV.com is nominated as an IPTV podcast portal. At the time of posting the little triangular banner for you to vote for us isn't up yet but the boys at the youth search mentioned they'll send it over tomorrow. Yippee! When the banner is up do vote for GWTV. It'll help to further propel Malaysian Tech into the limelight as that is our main goal.

Oh yeah if you're wondering why I'm the only nutjob who's blogging on the GWTV blog; that's probably because Andrew's extremely busy with his semester at college. Lot's to read and study hehe. Oh and the new GWTV T-shirts are ready for printing! More on that later. Ciaoz...

To celebrate the launch of the new site, our brand new News Update show 'Malaysian Minute' will launch today Dec 9th at 7PM GMT+8. From the second edition onwards, the show will air every 12AM on a bi-daily basis. Stay tuned!

Making a new intro for TGS...

Just done recording The GeeksWeekly Show (TGS) episode 9 and we're thinking of improving the intro. So any help from you guys would be appreciated. Give us your ideas and feedback and we'll implement the good ones!

Figured out how to redirect the old blogger site to the new domain and also combine geeksweeklytv.com with www.geeksweeklytv.com... So hopefully folks don't get lost anymore!

We have a new site!

It's been two months now since The GeeksWeekly Show has been conceived and one can only wonder, where was this site to begin with? Well it's here now and we have an announcement. GeeksWeeklyTV.com is not merely a podcast anymore. We're a station! An IPTV station to be exact. We now have two shows. Yippee! We'd like to welcome you to our second show on GWTV, called Malaysian Minute. Keep up on the latest happenings from around the country and the world in a 'couple-of-daily' (isn't it great to learn new words?) 5 minute newscast.
